What information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us directly through the contact form on this site: your name, email address, the breed you're interested in, and any message you write. We don't ask you to create an account.
Advertising and cookies
This site uses Google Ads conversion tracking to understand which visits to our site come from our ads. This works using a cookie placed by Google when you interact with one of our ads, and it may use your IP address and browsing activity on this site. We don't see or store this data ourselves — it's processed by Google under their own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ad Settings, or block cookies generally in your browser settings.
How your information reaches us
When you submit the contact form, it's sent directly to our email inbox. We don't store submissions in a database, and no third-party marketing or CRM tool receives a copy.
Why we process it
- To reply to your inquiry about a puppy or our breeds.
- To communicate about a reservation, deposit, or pickup if you go ahead.
- Where you've asked us a question, our lawful basis is your consent in submitting the form; where you're proceeding with a reservation, our basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you.
Other services this site uses
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, a third-party service. Loading a font involves your browser making a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address as part of standard web traffic handling. We don't control this data flow directly — see Google's Privacy Policy for details. See "Advertising and cookies" above for details on our use of Google Ads.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry emails only as long as reasonably needed to respond to you or complete a reservation, and periodically clear out older messages that no longer need action.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, or to object to how we're using it. To exercise any of these, email hello@velvetpawpuppies.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Children's information
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes — for example, if we add analytics or online payments in future — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
